my daughter Alicia Gregory aged 8, accompanied by myself and her brother aged ten Jack completed the three peaks challenge in august 2010 in under 12 hours. We have been informed that she is the youngest person to complete the 24 mile 3 peak walk that they know of. D. Gregory

My son Lloyd Horridge has just completed the walk in 11 hrs 10 mins aged 8, June 2012 in rain and cloud - very proud! so think possibly this is the fastest and youngest? though not sure of d.o.b of the above?? lloyd is 9 on sept 9th.

Two people are painting a fence one takes 3 hours to complete the job and one takes 6 hours to complete the same job how long would it take for both to complete the same job?

My somewhat educated guess would be two hours. The person who could complete the job in 3 hours could complete 2/3 of the job in two hours. The person that complete the job in 6 hours could complete 1/3 of the job in two hours. 2/3 + 1/3 = 1.

If a job takes 12 men 4 hours to complete how long should it take 15 men to complete the job?

answer:for a problem like this you have to compute how many person-hours it will take to complete the job and then it's easy to figure out the total time.so,let j = total job person-hours = 12 people * 4 hours = 48 person-hoursso, we know we need 48 person-hours to complete the entire job. so, given that we have now 15 people to complete the job,let t = total time to complete job with 15 people = 48 person-hours / 15 people = 3.2 hours, or 3 hours 12 minutestherefore, for a job that takes 12 people 4 hours, assuming there is no particular constraint on the amount done per person, the job can be done in 3 hours 12 minutes with 15 people. (for instance, although one woman can have a baby in nine months, 9 women can't have a baby in one month)previous answer:I think it'll be 1hourmy own conclusion
