Well I'm not sure who funded the Americans, but as far as I know Nathan Rothschild funded the british for his own personal interest. The Rothschilds had established a central bank (First bank of the United States). This was established with a 20 year charter, after the 20 year period was up the Rothschild's applied for a renewal and were turned down. Nathan Rothschild didn't like this very much and after several threats he funded and ordered the British to declare war on the United States. How could one man have the power to order a country to go to war? "Let me issue and control a nations money and I care not who writes its laws." Mayer Rothschild the father of Nathan Rothschild.
