During the Revolutionary war, the English used a type of warfare common at that time, in which soldiers fought in formations. The American army used hunting and shooting skills they developed, in which, they often used "hit and run" and "sniper" like tactics that gave them an edge. This kind of warfare is now called "Gorilla Warfare". Also the "Kentucky Long Rifle used by many of the American soldiers was a superior weapon to the English guns.
