Coercive Violence can best be described/defined as the controlling influence resulting from the potential that great harm will be perpetrated on someone if they don't follow the prescribed ultimatums/laws/philosphies of another who has the weapons, strength, or other ability to cause harm. As an example: While most people believe that by working together in a peaceful, lawful society, there will always be a fringe element who would lean towards a self serving, unlawful society. If we put our peace officers on the street in pink cardigans, penny loafers, chinos and unarmed it is unlikely that the fringe element would be coerced into believing they should obey the law. On the other hand, A peace officer armed with multiple weapons, body armor and the legal right to use deadly force if justified, represents the potential for violence that would coerce most of this fringe element into conducting themselves more appropriately. Apply this philosphy to the war in Iraq and you can see why Coalition forces struggle to gain the upper hand on the insurgency. As a citizen who's rules will you follow? The insurgent who will decapitate your son, daughter or family member or the Coalition soldier who's only legal recourse is detain the insurgent?

Federalists did not fear the government. Anit-federalists did. During the late 1700s the Articles of Confederation was being rethought as the constitution of America. When the Constitution was proposed, Anti-federalists believed it was too powerful nationally and could become a monarchy or dictatorship. They also thought it took individual power away from the states.
While John Dickinson's name is validly on the Constitution, he did not personally sign it. He authorized fellow delegate George Read to sign his name by proxy, as he was too ill to be there. Interestingly, earlier in history, John had refused to sign the Declaration of Independence because he objected to violence in solving the challenges they faced.

I am a man and I believe that violence is out of the question, be it against man or woman. Everyone has the responsability to control themselves. I think there are no excuses to display violence. Many women who are victims of violence tend to think they deserve it for any reason. NO ONE DESERVES VIOLENCE. If you are victim of violence seek help with friends, family AND the authority. Hope that helps.

Section 17 of the Constitution of South Africa addresses the right to freedom of expression. It emphasizes that everyone has the right to express themselves freely, which includes the freedom of the press and other media, as well as academic freedom. However, this right is subject to limitations, such as the prohibition of hate speech and incitement to violence.
