The Townshend Acts, The British Government called for new taxes in 1776. SO Parliament passed the Townshend Acts. The Townshend Acts said that the colonist had to pay taxs on all tea, paper, glass, lead, and paint imported from Britain. SO basically the Townshend acts made people pay taxes on certain items, people hated the new taxes and they could not afford them. So The Colonist Buycotted the tea (refused to buy it) Which lead to other events but that was mostly all about the townshend acts taxes boycott which i think it lead to the tea act all taxes where off exept for the tea.
What do you think about taxes? If we are to have a government at all, then taxes are necessary to keep the burden of government in motion. Preferable slow grinding motion. The more taxes paid a government the bigger that government will become. The bigger a government becomes the more taxes needed to sustain it. The more taxes imposed to sustain the big government will make the government even bigger and even more taxes will be required to...
Federalists thought it was essential for the government to enforce taxes
Common Sense is written by Thomas Paine it made the colonist think why they should be Independent (the Deloation of Independece) from Britan.

No taxation without representation.
Herbert Hoover i think and some other colonist

stamp tax money would be used to defend the colonies
They thought it was a waste because taxes were raised on the colonists to help pay for the French and Indian War. The colonists didn't think the war was even necessary, so they didn't think they had to pay for it through taxes.
I think it was how he tried to get other colonist to declare independence.
Settle in the Ohio River valley
I'm not positive that this is right, but the Pharaoh was in charge and I think that he made you pay goods to give to him.
why do you think England taxed goods imported from or exported to other countries
The colonists boycotted British goods to protest against British policies, such as the imposition of taxes without representation and the restriction on their economic freedom. They believed that boycotting British goods would put pressure on the British government to change its policies in favor of the colonists.
There were many colonists who didn't think taxes were a good reason for American independence, some were relatives of famous Patriots. The colonists who still remained loyal to Britain, even after the taxes, are called Loyalists.
I think that it was important for importing goods from other countries
