a direct democracy
Direct Democracy
Basically, it's a majoritarian model, meaning that the majority rules.
The Mayflower Compact established a form of self-governance for the Pilgrims who settled in Plymouth Colony in 1620. It created a civil body politic, where the signers agreed to form a government based on majority rule and to abide by the laws created for the general good of the colony. This early document laid the groundwork for democratic principles in America by emphasizing the importance of community and mutual consent.
This would be the kind and leaders of england. since they're the one's that basically gave them the ok to go, they are the ones that the settlers are trying to reach, so they can have rights, and set up a mutual agreement, on how this whole "setting up a new town" is going to work. The audience was the people on the shape who would be obeying the decisions outlined in the Compact.

well for one, the compact was most definitely not a constitution. and although some signs of democracy were shown...there was a lot of unfairness... only 41 males actually signed the document, those men were land owners and prominent members of the church. so it wasn't like a 'all for one, and one for all :D" kind of situation.
Limited, and spread out amongst the colonies themselves.
