The Fourteen Points were accepted by France and Italy on November 1, 1918. Britain accepted all of the points except for one and wanted to add that Germany make reparation payments for the war.

Clemenceau, the Prime Minister of France, and Lloyd George, Prime Minister of Britain (three of the Big Four) were at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. They disagreed with the Fourteen Points mainly because Germany wasn't punished as much as they wanted them to be.

Woodrow Wilson was forced by the European nations at the Paris Peace Conference to compromise on nearly all of his Fourteen Points. The nations of Europe felt that they deserved a reward for fighting and winning the war and the Fourteen Points would not have allowed that.
