the loyalist point of view on it was that they thought that the king had the right to tax the colonies because they were paying for their own protection against invasion. many were loyalist because they worked for the crown and they knew where the bread came from.

∙ 13y agoThey though it was unfair. Mostly it only affected the rich patriots because they were the only ones who could read. Since the Stamp Act taxed all reading material, and rich patriots were the only ones who could read, then it only affected the rich.
