How can the president overcome the problems that divided government pose?
One of the problems with divided government is that officials from opposing parties resist approval of the appointment of officials from the opposite party. One way for the President to overcome this is to keep the number of officials from each party balanced, so they are even. Let's look at that answer shall we? Opposing parties were also elected into government. It is this two party system that prevents the total government from being over run by special interest groups like we are seeing now. When the President is doing bad things to us, it is the minorities duty to stop the evil, no matter who is doing wrong!
