the average pyramid block weighs about 5,600lbs
Egyptians use about 2.3 - 2.5 million blocks of stone to build a pyramid. If you calculate the volume of the pyramid, lets say the great pyramid of Giza, which has an average side length of 759.3 feet, a height of 480 feet, and the average block dimensions being 5 feet by 8 feet by 12 feet, the total number of blocks would come out to around six hundred and three thousand blocks, minus the solid core of the pyramid, which was around thirteen thousand blocks, and then you must account for the pyramid not being solid, which would maybe remove close to two hundred blocks.my source is from this book: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0962605301/worldmyster07-20/which is called Back in Time 3104 B.C. to the Great Pyramid: Egyptians Broke Their Backs to Build It : How the Great Pyramid Was Really Built. This question may have different answers but the great Pyramid built by Pharaoh Cheops was made of 2,300,000 blocks of building stone and each block weighed cc. 2 1/2 tonnes.there is over 100,000 rocks =}2 million stone blocks are in a pyramidaround 2 million blocks of stoneCurrent estimates are around 2.3 - 2.5 million individual blocks.2,500,000
about twenty to move a 2.5 ton block, many more for the larger blocks.
One of the theories about how the blocks comprising the pyramids were raised to their levels is four ramps circling the pyramid, rather like a ziggurat. (look it up.) The blocks were pulled up the ramps using sledges and a LOT of manpower. Once the stone blocks were all in place, the ramps were removed as the limestone facing was put on. Finally, when the whole pyramid was built and faced, the ramps were dismantled leaving a major puzzle for archaeologists for many years and a great chance for the UFO-ologists to claim that they were built by "aliens". That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Frayedknotarts
There are about three types of pyramids in Ancient Egypt: "True" pyramid- The typical pyramid, with smooth sides and hard edges(the pyramids you would imagine) Bent pyramid- Very smooth and has curved sides(obviously looks bent!) Stepped Pyramid- Has many steps to the top(it's a STEP pyramid!)
The answer depends on which pyramid. Geometrically, one stone makes a pyramid - a trivial one. Four make a proper pyramid.
There are many blocks in a pyramid
about 2,300,000
Around 2 million blocks of stone are in each pyramid.
well if by rocks, you mean the stones used to build it..... there are 2.3 million blocks and each of the blocks weigh from 2 1/2 - 15 tons!!!
The great pyramid of Giza (in Egypt) needed 2.3 million blocks and according to other calculations it is concluded that around 4 million blocks were used.
The number of blocks in a pyramid depends on the size and shape of the pyramid. Generally, a pyramid is composed of a base and a certain number of layers stacked on top of each other, with each layer having a decreasing number of blocks. The formula to calculate the total number of blocks in a pyramid is (1/3) x base area x height.
They used 2.3 million blocks of stone
About 2 million
About 2.3 million
Researchers estimate that 2.3 million blocks were used to build the Great Pyramid!
76.5kg is aproximatley 168.3 pounds. wich is what I weigh.
How many pounds do what weigh? Exactly.
