The days of the week are named after German deities, but the origin of their naming comes from the Romans nonetheless. You see, Friday comes from Freyja's (or Frigg's) Day. Freyja was the goddess of beauty to the Old Germans and Norse.

With that in mind, in Latin, Friday is Dies Veneris, or Day of Venus. As we all know, Venus was the Roman goddess of Beauty. You can not similar trends for the other days of the week as well.
