Wine and Food off of his ship!
They all run to their ship and sail away. Odysseus can't help mocking the now blind Cyclops and they get a few boulders thrown at them for his pride.
The Cyclops that Odysseus blinded was the son of Poseidon. The God of the sea. He asked his father to kill Odysseus or do what ever he can to keep him from sailing home. When Odysseus landed on the cyclops island he went inside the cave and fed on cheese and sheep. The cyclops came back to the cave and closed the rock doorway, The cyclops turned around and ate one of Odysseus's' men. Odysseus offered him wine, because it was the drink of the gods. Cyclops took a bowl of wine and slurped it up. He was then drunk,Odysseus took a sword and stabbed the cyclops in his one and only eye. Odysseus used him when he was drunk to move the large boulder out of the doorway. Odysseus and his men escaped from the cave by hanging onto the sheep. The men were off freely without the cyclops knowing. Until, Odysseus had to show off and say something to the cyclops. The cyclops got angry and started to throw rocks at the crew and ship. Luckily, the crew was Abel to get away not touched.
The cyclops was already named Polyphemus. Odysseus did not name the cyclops.
In the "Odyssey", Odysseus blinded the Cyclops Polyphemus with a red hot log.The cyclops that was blinded by Odysseus is Polyphemos.
Odysseus did not trust the cyclops. Polyphemus might have attempted to smash the ship to ensure that there was no means of escape.

cyclops island
As Odysseus and his crew are leaving the land of the Cyclops, he displays unheroic behavior by taunting Polyphemus and revealing his true name, putting his crew at risk. This act of arrogance and pride shows a lack of foresight and strategic thinking, as it ultimately leads to Polyphemus calling upon his father, Poseidon, to curse Odysseus and ensure his journey home is difficult.
I thought this was a stupid decision. Odysseus knew what the cyclops could do to him. He also knew that he had really ticked off the cyclops. By taunting him from his ship, he just made him more upset and almost killed his crew, as well as himself. Also by doing this, he got himself cursed by Posiden. I hope this helped!

When Odysseus shouted back at the cyclops as he and his men were escaping, he revealed his real name, which goes against his cunning nature of using aliases. This decision ultimately led to Poseidon's anger towards him, causing further obstacles in his journey back home.
In Homer's Odyssey, the cyclops Polyphemus asks Poseidon, his father, to curse Odysseus so that he may never reach his home on Ithaca, or if he does, that he may face great hardships on his journey. This request sets in motion a series of challenges and obstacles that Odysseus must overcome on his voyage back home.
The first lie that Odysseus tells the Cyclops is that his name is "Nobody." This deception plays a crucial role later when Odysseus blinds the Cyclops and tells him that "Nobody" is hurting him, fooling the other Cyclopes into thinking that nothing is wrong.
