It was a sign to take the wooden Horse into Troy.
ok
A gift from the gods.
Yes, many Trojans believed the Trojan Horse was a gift from the gods, specifically as a sign of favor. The Greeks, after a long siege, left the wooden horse at the gates of Troy and pretended to retreat, leading the Trojans to interpret it as a symbol of victory. This belief was compounded by the deceptive narrative spun by the Greeks, as they convinced the Trojans that the horse would bring them prosperity. Ultimately, this misinterpretation contributed to their downfall, as they brought the horse into the city.
They hung garlands on it and made it appear that they (the Greeks) had left in their ships. There wasn't really any other conclusion that the Trojans could reach, it was a new trick that had never been played before so they had no reason to suspect.
The suitors believe Odysseus to have killed Antinous by mistake, and they threaten to kill him as well.
He didn't feel anything; Laocoon was dead before the Trojan Horse went through the walls of Troy, he and his two sons had been killed by sea serpents.
Being killed I think.
Being killed I think.
I don't think Achilles stole anything from Patroclus. Patroclus stole Achilles armor and war it into battle. The Trojans thought he was Achilles and killed him.
