The Titans were the parents of the gods in Greek myths. They lived in the third age, also known as the Golden Age (were people were basically oblivious) and were ruled by Kronos (spelled in a variety of ways). He and Gaia had the origanal gods and goddesses for children; Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Hestia, Demeter and Zues. Kronos ate his children to prevent them from gaining power over him as he had done to his father. However, Gaia hid baby Zues before Kronos could eat him and fed a rock to Kronos instead. When Zues grew up, he fed his father a mixture of mustard and wine which made him regurgitate his completely whole immortal siblings, and they waged a war against the Titans. The gods won, of course, and ruled Oylumpus after that according to the legend.
