No, Cleopatra and both her brother/husbands hated one another. Their marriages were only legal devises to keep them both on the throne.
Julius was loved and hated by many people....mostly because the people that hated him thought they had taken Cleopatra and they were not happy.
Cleopatra never had an affair with Ptolemy XIII. Ptolemy was her first brother/husband, but they hated each other. Their "marriage" was only a symbolic one, as were her other "marriages".
No, not at all!! the romans hated Cleopatra and often depicted her as an evil siren that lures powerful men to their fall. (aka Julius Caeser and Mark Antony)
No, never. For one, Cleopatra hated her brothers and they hated her. Their marriage, was strictly for political reasons, as Cleo and her elder brother were made heirs by their father and were co-rulers. For two, she was 22 years old at the time of her first marriage and her brother was twelve. Her second brother, which she married, was only ten years old. Babies were out of the question.
