∙ 11y agoRomulus himself was the first king and founder of Rome in 753 BCE. This is according to the tradition and myth of founding of Rome, we have no evidence if Romulus and Remus really existed. Archeology suggests that the city of Rome is founded between 758-728 BCE.
The legends also tell that the Romans are descendants from the hero Aeneas, who fled from Troy when it got conquered by the Mycenean Greeks, and after a long journey landed in Italy.
In reality Romans are Italic people like Etruscans, Latins, Sabins and Samnites around them.
