Surviving without farmers would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the vast majority of people. Farmers play a crucial role in producing the food we rely on, and without them, the supply of fruits, vegetables, grains, and livestock would dwindle. While some individuals might hunt or forage for food, the scale needed to sustain modern populations would not be feasible. Thus, farmers are essential for ensuring food security and sustaining communities.
Not at this point in our existence. Back when there weren't very many humans, we could survive by being hunter-gatherers and not farmers. But now the there are so many people on the planet, we must have arable land to farm.
