Yes, snails can live in water. They survive by breathing through a specialized organ called a gill, which allows them to extract oxygen from the water. Additionally, their shells provide protection and help regulate their buoyancy in the water.
Yes, snails can survive in water as they have gills that allow them to breathe underwater. They are able to regulate the amount of oxygen they take in and can live in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
Yes, snails can go underwater and survive because they have adapted to live in aquatic environments. They have a specialized breathing organ called a gill that allows them to extract oxygen from water.
All snails need water to survive. I doubt that they will survive lack of water. First, water snails have to live in water, or else they will dry up (I know this from experience, because once my water snails crawled out too much that they crawled out of the aquarium. I found them underneath the dinner table, dried up like un-cooked pieces of macaroni.). I know garden snails will drown in water, but without water they dry out as well, and will go inside their shells and won't come out. So both types of snails won't be able to survive lack of water, in my opinion.
Cockroaches drink water to survive and thrive in their environment. They are able to go without food for long periods of time, but they need water to stay hydrated and healthy.
they go south for winter
I have never heard of water snails eating chalk, i just go to the pet store and get some algae wafers
go to birdielove.com tell all ur friends to go there too
Water snails live up north in any pond or lake. They live in the water and can breathe above water for about two hours befor they need to get back in. If you go to a beach it's a good cahance that you'll find one
Snails like to go into cracks beween rocks in groups.
A preferred environment is a environment that a living organism needs to survive. example fish needs water to live that is its preferred environment I hope that's the right answer for me myself am not sure.
The unique features of a camel's humps help it survive in the desert by storing fat for energy, allowing it to go long periods without water, and regulating its body temperature.
First, make sure you have everything ready for them. Get a nice, sealed container with a lid. These small creatures LOVE to climb up walls and get out of their box if there isn't a lid (I know this from experience... don't ask....). The lid will help in letting the moisture not escape too fast, since the snails need moisture to survive and to prevent them from dying up (although they will go into their shells if they think the environment is too dry for them).Add a thick layer of dirt on the ground (I find that my garden snails enjoy dirt better than a plain floor) and a small water dish with a shallow amount of water in it (so they don't drown in it, since garden snails cannot swim or breathe in water). It is also nice if you give the snails some places to hide, such as a small flowerpot or one of those aquarium decorations they sell at pet stores (I have a bridge for mine... they love going under it). And don't forget to spray the snails with water often. For food, give them green leafy vegetables (I feed them lettuce all the time), or other vegetables (such as carrots).
