The Atlantic Puffin has a downy under-plumage that provides thermal insulation in the cold. The molt and lose the downy feathers in warmer weather to keep cool.
Precious little hot weather where the puffins live. If they should get hot however they could just take a dip in the ocean.
They don't protect their young they have to do it by themselves
they live in the tundra clamate
Foxes have thick fur that helps keep them warm. They also have burrows for shelter from bad weather.
Puffins generally live in Alaska and northern America along the Atlantic. Therefor, it is probably snowy a lot of the year, but sunny and almost warm in the summer. I have heard they live in Africa, but my research has shown no evidence of that.
Most commonly, they lived in caves to protect themselves from bad weather.
It has fur to keep them warm ,so they usually don't feel that cold
they build shelters to protect themselves from outside conditions. Like the weather.
Turtles will usually use their shells to protect themselves from other animals, weather, or anything else that can harm them. Or they could bite them.

Bears hibernate in cold weather. Bears have everything they need for protection! Would a normal person honestly go and bother a sleeping bear during the winter?
Estimating the exact number of puffins that die each year is challenging due to their wide distribution and various threats they face, including predation, climate change, and human activities. However, studies indicate that significant mortality can occur, particularly during severe weather events, breeding failures, or due to food shortages. Some estimates suggest that thousands of puffins may die annually, but comprehensive data is needed for precise figures. Conservation efforts continue to monitor and protect puffin populations to mitigate these losses.
