Ladybugs can eat apples, Oranges and so on. Most of the time they eat ahpids... but that is outdoors. If you need fruits to feed them then feed them apples! Slice up a little apple and feed it to the ladybug! They like raisins and even honey on raisins too! Oh and they love lettuce! Absaloutley love it. Oranges are great! These are some tasty meals for a ladybug being housed or kept by humans and not outdoors!
Lady Bird Beetles (Lady Bugs) can eat squash, watermelon, raisins, and REALLY like GRAPES (fun to watch them eat 'em)!!! Mine are weird they eat marshmallows. Dont feed them marshmallows, I'm waiting to see if it lives!
I've been overwintering ladybugs for 4 years and Ladybugs occasionally do eat fruit, especially if you have them in captivity. But, do NOT feed them any type of acidic fruit or it will kill them. The safest fruit is strawberries or rehydrated apricots and raisins.
Ladybugs or Ladybird beetles (the red ones with black spots) are carnivorous throughout their life cycle. They eat aphids.
Non-acidic and sweet are the types of fruits that ladybugs eat. Examples of sweet fruits include bananas, dates, figs, grapes, papayas and persimmons. Examples of fruits that are low in acid range from apples to blackberries, blueberries, cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, Pears, plums and raspberries.
