if vegetation decreases then the food supply for prey becomes very limited, some prey might not get enough food intake and die, this could happen reguarly and therefore prey would decrease. By the way if this was to happen then predators would become limited too because they wouldn't have enough prey to eat. All in all there wouldn't be enough food to go around and therefore prey would not have enough food and all prey could die off. (This is incedibly unformal)
If the secondary consumers are removed then the apex predators will die with no prey to prey on.
we would all die
We would all die
we would all die!
They would DIE!
we would all die!
we all would die
the lions(secondary consumers) would eventually die out. then the other consumers would have noithing to control their population, and would become over populated. they would eat theyre prey, and since there is so many consumers, the prey would die out very quickly because they have all been eaten. Then the consumers wont have any food and they will die. Its a pretty long chain!
It cannot happen, but if it did we would all die shortly therafter.
I don't believe anything would happen to the ecosystem, as what can scavengers do, but wait for their prey to die? I think the only thing that would happen is for the scavengers to quickly die off, as there would not be enough food for more than the ecosystem can support.
We would all die.
