Dressed as a man, she traveled to Jerusalem and lived as a hermit on the Mount of Olives until her death. Her feast day is 8 October.The third Pelagia of Tarsus, is also found in sacred tradition. This Pelagia was a reputed virgin forcibly betrothed to a son of Emperor Diocletian. When Pelagia refused both the son and the emperor, she was roasted to death in a red-hot bull of brass. Her feast day is 4 May.
