First of all, what movements are you talking about? Do you mean, when they hoist their leg in the air and eat their butts, Cataerobics?

They use the strong muscles in their legs. My three cats do it all the time.

Here is a cool, interesting fact.

Cats have a tender muscle in the bend of their leg. If you tap that with one finger, not hard, just a gentle tap, their leg will bend. Its just like hitting the back of your leg, on the bend of your knee with your fist, lightly. Its kind of cool. That is the one biggest muscle that holds up your leg, as well as a cat's.
