Is factory farming beneficial for Canada?

That all depends on what you are referring to. Economically and efficiently-speaking, yes because more products (meat, milk and eggs) can be produced per unit area and because animals can or should be placed in a "sacrifice" area to feed them in the winter since nothing grows during the winter in Canada. Environmentally, sustainably and conservationally though, no, it is not beneficial. Many areas in Canada actually are not meant to be used as "factory farming" areas, but instead as areas for grazing livestock or simply growing crops for food.
