During WWF's Earth Hour, participants are encouraged to turn off non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and energy conservation. While it's not mandatory to turn off all electricity in your house, the goal is to collectively reduce energy consumption during that hour. Many choose to participate by turning off lights and enjoying the ambiance of candlelight or other alternatives. The focus is on the symbolic act of coming together to make a positive environmental impact.
We want to turn off our lights and computers and televisions. Plus anything else that uses electricity.
You turn off your lights and any other non-essential appliances for one hour at Earth Hour.
The most important thing is lights. If you turn off your computer, television and anything else that uses electricity would be great!

It conserves electricity. For one hour, people turn off all unnecessary lighting in their homes and offices. This year's event occurred on March 27, from 8:30 to 9:30. Approximately one billion people participated.
Most people turn it up so the ac will not go on and use much electricity. Why should they pay for electricity to cool an empty house?
The "hour of Venus" is often associated with Venus being visible in the evening or morning sky, but it doesn't have a specific definition related to Earth Hour. Earth Hour is an annual event where participants turn off non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and energy conservation. The hour of Earth Hour typically occurs on the last Saturday of March at 8:30 PM local time. Therefore, the concept of "hour of Venus" does not directly correlate with Earth Hour.
You have to use the Joshie membership card you got from Rowley after getting into his house, to open the door to the left in Greg's house. From there, you will find an electricity panel and you can turn his electricity off. He will then leave the house and you can get in :P
The idea of turning ones lights off at a certain time on Earth Day is to provide unity and show that everyone is recognizing the saving of energy at the same time. By everyone doing this at the same time it makes a stronger point.
The point of Earth Hour is to draw attention to how much electricity we use, and do without it for one hour. The amount we save is miniscule, world-wide, but the message is more important. But to properly enter into the spirit of the Hour, turn everything off except your fridge and freezer. Use candles if you like, but not the ones with a metallic wick. These are often made of lead and put very harmful amounts of lead into the atmosphere and lungs of those nearby. And preferably not the cheap candles made from paraffin, a fossil fuel. Beeswax candles would be the best.
