Also, even though most people back then had children even in their teen years (because of early marriages), it's hard to tell which of the children in the families were the ones that created the bloodline, so the actual borderline between people (which had self-awareness and were conscious and intelligent) and humanoid animals can span between 4000 and 9000 years (according to the Bible).
This means the answer is anywhere between 6000 and 11000 years ago.
