Depends on what part of Brazil we are talking about due its huge size and the diversity of the first settlers. Africans (Rio and Bahia states), Portuguese (the country as a whole, of course), Germans (in Southern states), Dutch (in North-eastern states) , Italians, Japanese and believe it or not, even Americans (in São Paulo state there is a considerable big town named Americana).

The average Brazilian wakes up at 6 AM and works from 9 AM to 6 PM. He has always lunch at 1 PM (it's always rice and beans - EVERYDAY - mixed with something else like beef, chicken, pork and vegetables) and dinner at 8 PM watching the main evening news programs and then he watches "novelas" - Soap Operas, going to bed usually at 11 PM. On weekends the "churrasco" - barbecue - is almost sacred where friends meet to drink beer, listening to music or watching a soccer game (this is usually on Sundays and on Saturdays he dedicates his day to take care of his house and cars and principally go shopping during the day and party at night).

What is culture characteristics?

Multiculturalism in Brazil is the mixture of cultures. It is the blending of faiths and cultures that occur in Brazil since colonial times. And one of the main characteristics of Brazilian culture is the diversity. The Immigration process was very important for the formation of this culture. Brazil has incorporated into its territory from cultures all over the world. We can say that this process of immigration began in 1530 when the Portuguese began the colonization of Brazil. The first non-Portuguese immigrants who came to Brazil were Africans, who were used as slaves on coffee plantations Brazil is a country of mixed race roots, and that is not historically minorities. We should be open to the differences that make the Brazilian people as a people in our mixed heritage. It is this plurality and diversity of Brazilians who can build this and chase the dream of the future possible.
