Homo sapiens is a largely biological designation and science does not allow issues of spirit to tread upon it. But the world is changing quickly. Issues of the spirit are on the rise and the next stage of human evolution already has some names floating around: homo spiritus homo sanctus It's a change in which either science, or common perception dictates that we do have spirits, and are divine, destined for immortality. http://www.paep.ca/en/CIYL/2002/doc/peck_homo_sapiens.pdf

A ratchet isÊneeded to loosen the serpentine belt tension pulley on a 2002 Jeep Wrangler V6. It will require a 1/2 inch ratchet.
You could do what I did, wait for the tension pulley to fall off the van...
Put you car on jack stands, remove the right wheel. Loosen the tension pulley for the accessory belt (AC, alternator). Remove the belt. Loosen the tension pulley for the power steering, remove the belt. Install a new belt, and set proper tension. If you do not have a tool to measure tension, use rule of thumb. When the belt is under proper tension you should be able to twist only 3/4 of full twist. Do the same for the accessory belt.
it is self adjusting .
put your pp in the pistons
There is a tensioning pulley that you can move to loosen the belt. Look at the belt diagram in the engine compartment to locate it.
push the tensioner back with a 14mm, take off the belt, take off the pulley assembly
if by "loosen" you mean loosening the belt then just put a wrench on the nut in the center of the pulley and turn it to the left. its basically spring loaded.
You don't. The serpentine belt tension is automatically maintained by the tensioner pulley, which is an idler pulley located on the passenger side of the system and looks like it doesn't drive anything. If the belt tension is incorrect, the tensioner pulley must be replaced. If the question meant 'how to release tension from the belt' (for removal, etc.), this is done by applying the correct size socket wrench to the tensioner pulley's center nut and rocking the pulley away from the belt.
To install the AC drive belt on a 2002 Montero Sport 3.5L, you must first locate the tensioner pulley. Instead of trying to loosen the bolt, use a socket or wrench to rotate the tensioner in the direction specified in the vehicle manual, which typically releases tension on the belt. Once the tension is released, you can slip the old belt off and install the new belt, ensuring it follows the correct routing. Finally, release the tensioner to tighten the belt, ensuring it's properly seated on all pulleys.
You don't. If it has stretched too much for the tensioner pulley to handle, you need a new belt. Or, if the tensioner pulley is not applying correct tension, the tensioner pulley must be replaced.
Depending on which belt there will be an idler pulley mounted to a long adjusting bolt. Loosen the nut on the pulley and then loosen the adjusting bolt and remove belt. Reverse order of directions for installation. The alternator will have a similar design on the bottom of the case that allows for adjustment/ removal.
