Homo sapiens is a largely biological designation and science does not allow issues of spirit to tread upon it. But the world is changing quickly. Issues of the spirit are on the rise and the next stage of human evolution already has some names floating around:
homo spiritus
homo sanctus
It's a change in which either science, or common perception dictates that we do have spirits, and are divine, destined for immortality.

In Africa Homo Ergaster evolved in to premodern humans known as Homo Heidelbergensis. However in china there is debate that the Homo Erectus evolved straight into Modern humans. But it is believed that Homo Erectus (and Homo Egaster- Homo Erectus that are found in Africa- evolved into
Homo Heidelbergensis. Homo Heidelbergensis would later evolve into modern humans in Africa and Neanderthal in Europe.
-Hope this Helps.
Homo sapiens arose from homo erectus
Base on Theory of evolution
Human evolution is not as straight as many people believe. For example H. neanderthalensis and H. sapiens (us) we share the same ancestor that is H. rhodesiensis and we won the evolution race.
About H. erectus, it share the same ancestor with H. antecessor that later evolve to H. rhodesiensis. H. erectus survive the evolution race for very long time and disappear around 0.1 million year ago.
The evolution is not a transformation but the survival of the fittest process. Physical property that fit to the nature survive and what not fit to the nature is doom to extinct.
After Homo erectus comes Homo heidelbergensis, followed by Homo neanderthalensis and then Homo sapiens. These species are part of the evolutionary lineage leading to modern humans.
Homo sapiens are modern Humans. We don't know yet what the future of our species will hold.
Neanderthal.
Humans are homo sapiens.
After Homo habilis comes Homo erectus, which lived around 1.9 million to 143,000 years ago. Homo erectus was known for its advanced tool-making capabilities and ability to control fire.
The plural form of Homo habilis is Homo habilis, the plural form of Homo erectus is Homo erectus, and the plural form of Homo sapiens is Homo sapiens.
The term "homo" in the name Homo erectus identifies the genus of the species.
The species Homo erectus predates the invention of clothing. They had fur.
Yes the Homo Erectus did have leisure, They had game hunting to practice!
The plural form of Homo habilis is Homo habilis, the plural form of Homo erectus is Homo erectus, and the plural form of Homo sapiens is Homo sapiens.
Homo erectus - album - was created in 1997.
Homo erectus tautavelensis was created in 1971.
Homo Erectus - film - was created in 2007.
The evolutionary order goes Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Neanderthals, and Homo sapiens. Homo habilis appeared around 2.8 million years ago, followed by Homo erectus around 2 million years ago, Neanderthals around 400,000 years ago, and finally Homo sapiens around 300,000 years ago.
The duration of Homo Erectus - film - is 1.58 hours.

Homo erectus likely slept on the ground in natural shelters such as caves or rock overhangs, or they may have constructed simple shelters using branches, leaves, and other natural materials. They also may have used natural materials such as grasses or animal hides to create bedding for comfort and insulation.
Homo erectus caves were typically natural shelters such as rock overhangs or caves. They may have used branches, leaves, and animal hides as bedding, as well as fire for warmth, cooking, and protection. Artifacts found in these caves suggest they also stored tools, weapons, and food.
Fossil sites of Homo erectus have been found primarily in Africa and Asia. Key locations include sites in East Africa (such as Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania) and in East and Southeast Asia (such as Zhoukoudian in China and Sangiran in Indonesia).
Homo Erectus isn't exctinct it just doesn't exist any longer because it evolved over time into Homo Sapien.
