C'mon. Cavemen always lived in caves. When they moved out, they weren't cavemen anymore. OK. The earliest cave dwelling people were probably in China about 750,000 years ago. Around 100,000 years ago various groups of Neanderthal and Cro Magnon lived in caves in what is now Europe. Truth is only a small number of people ever lived in caves; they are generally scarce worldwide. And there are people even today who live in caves, some claiming that they are more comfortable than buildings built with concrete.
