Scientists thought that an asteroid big enough to kill off the human race was going to hit earth by 2016. They did miscalculate. However, it will miss us by only 700 miles. (which isn't a great amount of distance in space) Something could easily hit it and make it come straight at earth. If it does hit earth, you better pray you're right in the path of that asteroid. The human race will not see the sun for 13 and a half years. That would mean all plants will die. It would be like an atomic bomb going off every second for 13 years.
