You can look up values at nadaguides.com, just search under classics. Also take into consideration if it is a daily driver the value will be lower than a show vehicle. Also another way to get a good average value is to see what they are selling for in your area, just compare similar models and you should be fine. A good price for a decent 1985 CJ5 should be around $3000, but it can be much more or less. Good luck with your hunt for a Jeep.
