Check your battery connections. If the terminals are good then check the starter.
Undo the battery terminals and give them a good cleaning with a wire brush, it doesn't take very much corrosion for the side post terminals to stop working.
That's your silanoid.. if you follow the + battery wire it leads you there, a lot of newer cars have it located inside the starter.. but that is usually a sign you need more power, try chargeing the battery or jumping starting it.. also make sure your cables are hooked to the battery tightly and the battery nipples and the termanals that hook 2 them are clean and shiny where they touch together. The clicking noise could also be coming from your exhaust system. Loose clamps or a hole in your system could be causing the noise. You may have to repair or replace your exhaust system. You can get advice on the same from magnaflow exhaust systems.

The most common reason for your 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck not to start is a battery that needs to be charged. Charge the battery for a minimum of 15 minutes.
Bad battery or bad battery connection. The click is the starter trying to engage, but lacking the power to turn the motor.
You won't hear a clicking noise from my brake light switch it doesn't make that noise.
clicking noise is probably fuel pump relay, check for battery condition, then for good connections including ground, inspect all fuses
The convenience relay that is located in the trunk of a Mercedes C280 may need to be replaced if the power seats are not working. Bad or loose wiring can be another cause for power seats to stop working.
if you have connected it up properly it could be just that your battery is completely flat and that when you hook up the charger some relays are getting power and making the clicking noise
My past experience has been that a "clicking noise" meant that the battery was too discharged to power the starter solenoid much less run the starter motor. You might try charging the battery.
My Phillips 42 inch Plasma TV wont turn on. It just makes a clicking noise from the back. It wont power off using the remote or the manual turn off i have to unplug it
Check your battery terminals one is either loose or the grounds are bad.... On the firewall.... The clicking is the starter not getting enough power... No Clicking means no power or bad starter..Or you killed the battery(no power).. Google starter problems etc...
Yes
If the noise is a clicking sound, chances are the CV shaft (or axle shaft) is bad. It supplies power from the trans axle to the wheel.
most people think that on the cls mercedes the power steering is making the noise when in fact it is from the transmission pump the sound is identical to the power steering pump if you put the car on the lift and listen you will hear it better\ also if the pitch does not change when turning thw wheel you know it is not the p.s. pump omid tamar mercedes tech
How to repair power window in 2000 Ford Ranger passenger window will not work with either drivers button or passenger button the relay does not make any clicking noise either What is wrong?
Could be the switch between the front seats, or a fuse, or a shortcircuit in the wire with power from the battery.
