∙ 13y agoPlaque build up restricts blood flow. Eventually, a piece of that plaque breaks off and goes to your brain or heart, resulting in heart attack or stroke. You can also get Peripheral Arterial disease which affects your circulation and mobility. Could result in not being able to walk or the loss of a limb.
