It's probably leaking refrigerant. A small piece of grit or even a scratch or tear in one of the o-rings would cause the refrigerant to leak out. Have someone else find the leak, a friend may have access to some of the refrigerant with the dye in it. After you've found the leak, take it back to the shop that did the original work and let them repair it, pointing out that they didn't assemble it properly and it's leaking at the... On the other hand, if it's leaking at the compressor, that's just normal and those things are unpredictable. BTW, the evaporator is behind the dash, the condenser is in front of the radiator.
I had that problem with my 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport, they ckd all kinds of things and finally replaced the fuel pump and then it was fine.
Sounds like starter solenoid needs to be replaced
No, the Grand Cherokee uses a timing chain which will most likely never need replaced, they are extremely durable.
It takes a refrigerant recovery system to properly work on the a/c I agree almost all ac work should be left to the pros. Also anytime the ac system is opened up the evaporator or drier must be replaced in order for most part dealers to warranty any other ac components.
First the kings, who were replaced by the oligarchs, who were replaced by the tyrants, who were replaced by the demagogues under the democracy
Well I'm no sure if it is the same thing as the evaporator core but i just had all that stuff replaced on my 98 gr. Cherokee. The dash had to be taken out and the parts were close to 200$ labor was another 350$..good luck hope ya get a better deal than i did!
I have had one evaporator replaced in my 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited and two replaced in my 1994 Grand Cherokee limited all were done by Jeep dealer and ran about 400 dollars parts and labor and took about 4 hours to complete. R-134A refrigerant is acidic this is why evaporators don't last.
yes because it make the ac longlife
Check the A/C compressor.
6 ounces for the compressor and 2 ounces for each component that ia replaced such as the evaporator, condenser and receiver drier.
the blend door motor.
The evaporator for a Chevy Corsica can not be unclogged. When it gets blocked, the evaporator can only be replaced.
You have a fixed orifice tube is located in the liquid line, between the condenser and the evaporator coil. If the fixed orifice tube is faulty or plugged, the liquid line assembly must be replaced.........
You wont need to remove the complete dash but you will need to loosen it up so that it can be rolled out from the bottom, its a very large job and time consuming... The book time to replace the evaporator including recharging is 10.4 hours.......
If the dashboard and parking light problem is not being caused by a bad fuse, it may be a wiring problem cause by a broken or loose wire. Another possibility is that the bulbs need to be replaced.
you probably have a refrigerant leak in your evaporator. the leak could be so miner the A C still work's You could try stop leak I had same problem on 2005 Chrysler three hundred. drove me nuts until i replaced evaporator
