not really. as long as its a 14.4 volt battery you should be fine. but if your battery is too small, like a motorcycle battery, or the volts jus dont add up, then yes.
Gen-R
A failed ECM can certainly keep an engine from starting, but it probably won't be responsible for overheating.
something is draining the battery. a new battery will last a couple days if just starting the car. even if your alternator is bad.
Could be poor cable connections. Check black ground and red positive, may need to remove and clean both ends. Lead on battery end can be cleaned with wire brush, knife or sandpaper, cable going into end can be scraped with knife. But it's usually old or dying battery (starting takes a lot of power.) Don't replace starter or other parts if battery's old or shows problems. Testers availabe at auto supply stores, or they can test it.
Most commonly, it's the starter or the starter was wired wrong when it was installed. More rarely, it can also be the keyswitch or even a bad gear on the flex-plate.
if you put jumper cables on the wrong way you WILL kill the battery then if you leave them on you will cause the battery to overheat and swell then will u least expect it, it will blow up.. it will be a miniature hydrogen bomb
The wrong spark plug wire(s) can cause engine problems including not running but won't drain the battery.
the battery amp hour (ah) rating is what is important as long as the new battery has the same or higher ah rating it should be OK
yes- If cable is too light it may overheat and not carry the amperage required to operate the starter
it can cause system instability(bsd or boot problems ) and if its done wrong it can burn ur processor
yes it might cause the battery to leak and most probably explode.

whats wrong with you freak. whats wrong with you freak.
I would suggest getting a GPS system installed by a professional, as it is easy to do it wrong and have dead battery problems. That can be pretty inconvenient.
Yes, it can cause you a multitude of problems, such as braking.
try replacing the alternator
No! You should never cross connect two batteries or a battery to charger in this way. At minimum the battery could be damaged. At worst it could cause an explosion.
It is located in your vehicles computer very complicated. If removed wrong it can cause problems
