You can use your normal oven. the only concert in the off gassing from the sculpy clay. but that should not effect you unless you are doing tons of it.
i, personally, use my toaster oven, so that i can watch the progress of the cooking more easily and take it out with ease if it starts to blacken.

That is a really good question. The answer to that is you can't really microwave it, but if you have a clay baker, it takes about 1 week to bake in a clay baker...
It will really depend on the type of clay that you have. Some non drying clays may become hardened if you bake it. However if it is modeling clay it will be impossible to dry it.
If the clay is a polymer like Sculpy, it can be baked at 250 in a regular oven. If it is traditional earth clay, it needs a kiln.

you cannot bake ordinary plasticene clay. what make is the clay? if it is Fimo or Sculpey you can bake it, otherwise be careful or you will end up with toxic fumes! you can also buy clay called Darwi which dries hard in 24 hours .
