No. You must sand the gloss of and them prime and then paint. Semi and High Gloss is only meant for wood not dry wall. Its the worst idea ever to put a gloss on dry wall. Any paint with an Enamel is just as washable.

ANSWER: If you want the best looking ones in the world, sand till smoothe and primer with a white ceiling paint, finished up with 1-2 coats of a thinned with water, high gloss latex paint. It will look like frozen ice cream when done.

The blue marks on tanalised timber are caused by the copper-based preservative treatment used to protect the wood from decay and insects. These marks are a normal occurrence and do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the wood.
