Coolant leaking from back? meaning exaust? If yes, then it's a head gasket or cracked head. Will not start because 2 or more sparkplugs are now wet with coolant.
Check the water pump. Examine it for traces of dried coolant that might be leaking out of the casting.
I'm assuming your grand am has a 3400 v6 which are known for intake and head gaskets leaking. so its possible that one of those gaskets are leaking so bad that coolant is leaking from intake/heads down onto your valvetrain and then down into your oil pan. more than likely its your intake gaskets leaking.
It means if it is losing coolant and you don't see a leak on the outside, it is leaking internally. This could be serious. Have a trusted mechanic check it out soon.
A fouled spark plug, high tension wire breaking down, a bad distributor cap/rotor, coolant leaking into the combustion chamber, etc.
maybe not. check engine oil for color and quantity. if oil is white to grey, then there is coolant leaking into engine.no pressure might be caused by bad radiator cap.this will also allow coolant to escape
Yes it can. check the oil dip stick. if coolant is leaking inside the engine the oil will be "milky" in color.
could have a crack in it that is leaking under pressure
Sounds to me like the heater core is leaking coolant.
Coolant leaking from the heater core.
is coolant leaking from engine?or is it leaking from water pump and running down engine and appears to leak from engine
Are you sure it isn't the hose leaking AT the thermostat housing? If the car ever overheated on you, there may be a warped head. If so, you're in a BIT of trouble. Let a mechanic look at it. A consultation should cost you little or nothing.
If coolant is leaking from a car it means that your radiator has a hole in it. If this is not fixed the car will over heat.
I've had this happen to me before. I had the water pump replaced after it had been leaking a little and my car overheated. We thought it might have been leaking again but turns out the mechanics had forgot to tighten something. I would have them look at it once more to make sure nothing is loose and leaking your coolant.
Example sentence - The coolant in my car was leaking out.
If your talking about coolant leaking on the passenger floor then it means your heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced.
It could be the radiator, the hoses, a leaking coolant tank or the water pump.
No its not that easy of a job and if you continue to run it this way, then you could damage the engine.................
