Yes.
Yes, Red Heart still makes a 4-ply acrylic yarn.I have attached a URL for the Red Heart website, this is the page which shows the various types of yarns that Red Heart offers.
When you put up sheets of Hardiflex, you need to apply at least two coats of high-quality 100 percent acrylic/latex paint. This should be completed within 30 days of hanging the sheets. Before you paint, be sure to brush off all dirt and contaminants using a soft brush.
The basic difference between the two paints is that latex paint is water-based and acrylic paint has a chemical composition that gives it elasticity. (But, there are "acrylic latex" paints, with varying degrees and properties of both.) Outside house paints are moving away from latex to 100 percent acrylic because the latter easily expands and contracts with heat and cold. As a result it holds better than latex. And there is a difference in price. Latex paint is much less expensive, but remember that if you use latex over the more expensive acrylic, the surface will have to be painted again much sooner.
No. Behr makes "100 percent acrylic" paint. As far as I can remember there's no latex at all in it. It's a waterbased coating that applies and cleans up like latex, but holds up better. It does NOT contain any alkyd.
haha, 3.6 minutes. (4/5 * 2) + 2.
No. Acrylic and cotton blend should not shrink.
Sandpaper.
No, you should have it drycleaned. Wool shrinks and/or loses its shape in water.
Yes.
Ka = ([H+][A-])/[HA]) Let concentration of dissociated acrylic acid be x. 0.000056 = (x2)/(0.10 - x) Rearrange: 0.0000056 - 0.000056x - x2 = 0 x = 0.002339 Therefore: [H+] = 0.002339 M pH = -log[H+] = 2.63 Percent dissociation: 0.002339/0.10 = 0.02339 = 2.34 %
It should say on the tag, but to be safe, I would wash it in cold and lat flat to dry.
100% acrylic paint can definitely go over latex. Acrylic paint actually is the same thing as latex paint. Some manufacturers differentiate their products as 100% acrylic and also have a product called latex that is made of acrylic plus co binders and other additives. So while one is 100% acrylic and the other is a mixture they are both water based and considered latex.
A sweater made of 100 percent acrylic fabric is unlikely to shrink significantly, as acrylic is a synthetic fiber that is resistant to shrinking and stretching. However, exposure to high heat during washing or drying can potentially cause some changes in shape or fit. It's best to follow care instructions and wash in cold water to maintain the sweater's size and shape.
It should be 418 yards long.
Cashmink is a very soft fabric which is used to make scarves. It is similar (feels like) cashmere but is made 100 percent acrylic.
I wouldn't wash it but take it to a dry cleaner. It is not real fur, but faux so the dry cleaner should do fine for the coat. It is all acraylic.
