NO! An exterior rated primer must be used. Plus, choose a primer that is recommended for the surface you plan on painting.

Can I use an exterior latex primer to prime interior trim?

Using exterior paint on the interior should not be a problem. You would only use exterior paint outside because it weathers better, which is not really an issue here.

How do you install trim around a window when the drywall is one half inch away from the jamb at the top and flush at the bottom - the shape is like but the window is level and the drywall's not?

Trim around a window just as a door is meant to cover the gap between the window frame and the wall material. Usually trim is 2 to 3 inches wide so it should cover the bad drywall job fine. Cut the trim at 45 degree angles at the top and terminate it at the sill. The small or thin side of the trim will overlap the window frame but not extend into the window area ( flush ), the thicker side will cover the space and should nail into the same wall studs as the window frame.
