yes, more so with more modern cars as digital or computerized or transistor ignition re used more
only the older belt driven air pumps seize up and may stop engine from cranking by fan belt holding engine, new electric air pumps are prone to suck up water or electric motor failure causing fuse to blow but car will still run
Generally they self bleed by starting the engine, turning the steering wheel from stop to stop then shut off engine and allow the bubbles to come to top of reservoir. Do this a few times and you should be good to go.
Sounds like you've got a couple of blown fuses. Check in particular the ECM start fuse in the fuse box inside the car on the drives sided kick panel. It should be a red 10 amp fuse. Also, we have this car and at times, when the oil level gets too low, it will turn but not start. Adding oil and pumping the gas while starting always gets it going again.
most common failures fuel pumps or pump relay eec relay, crank or cam sensors if no crank bad starter or security disabled
No, but if it starts to over heat, for an extended period of time it will cause engine damage. go grab some coolant, its not to expensive or hard to fill.
Yes, a blown main fuse will cut all electrical power to the vehicle.
Forget the fuse. Maintain your engine.
It depends on what the fuse is conected to
The main 100 amp fuse is located in the fuse box under the hood.
No it will not.
It wont stop starting, it will pump oil out of the turbo and discharge blue smoke.
No. It only senses engine vibration/knock.
Hard to answer. Without starting the engine, have a mechanic check it out.
no.an engine can run on 3
The fuel stop solenoids on a DT466 are actually three wire types. There is a ground wire, a pull-in wire, and an ignition wire. It will be on the main engine harness just above the pump.
The "EGI INJ" fuse is the right fuse to pull out. It will stop the injectors from shooting out fuel. After pulling the fuse out, crank engine for 15 seconds, rest, crank for another 15 seconds, rest crank for another 15 seconds, rest, put the fuse back and then crank. engine should basically start. if the engine is still not starting, take out the spark plugs and put oil around the seal, thread area and replace back. Do the same previous procedure mentioned The engine should finallly turn over now and start.
Probably blew a fuse. I was using an air compressor (on my 2006 hhr) and it blew the fuse which was located in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
