Generally they self bleed by starting the engine, turning the steering wheel from stop to stop then shut off engine and allow the bubbles to come to top of reservoir. Do this a few times and you should be good to go.
When a high pressure brake line or power steering line is disconnected near the pistons or any where besides reservoir. air may get into the system. the only way to get the air out of the system is by bleeding system, or purging system. if not done the result will be spongy brake's squealing and whining sounds when turning.
The alternator, water pump, power steering pump, air conditioner and possibly the air pump receive power from the serpentine belt.
Park the truck with the front wheels in the straight ahead position do not turn or the steering wheel shaft after, before or during or will damage the clockspringDisconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 2 minutes for the airbag capacitor to discharge before proceedingIf the truck is equipped with speed control remove the switch retaining screws.Pull off the switches and unplug the electrical connectorIf equipped remove the right rear steering wheel cover using a small screwdriverRemove the 4 nuts attaching the airbag module it will probably be necessary to turn the steering wheel to gain access to the nuts; just be sure to center the wheel after the nuts are removedLift off the airbag module and unplug the electrical connector when you set the airbag module down make sure the airbag side is facing up so that if it accidentally deploys it wont launchRemove the steering wheel retaining nut and mark the position of the steering wheel to the shaft if marks don't already exist or don't line upUse a puller to detach the steering wheel from the shaft don't hammer on the shaft to dislodge the wheel
To do this, first disconnect the battery so the air bag doesn't go off in your face. Remove the two machine screws behind the steering wheel that fasten the air bag to it. Lift off the air bag and disconnect the wires to it. Next you will need a special steering wheel tool to compress the strong tilt wheel spring. I'm not sure what parts might be broken in your car but they are fragile plastic parts that are available at the parts counter of your local GM dealer.

If you are talking about air bubbles in your power steering fluid?. The supply line to your power steering pump has a bad o-ring. This will cause you hard steering while engine is at idle.
Air in the pump can cause noise and friction during turning. An option is to ask your mechanic to bleed the power steering in order to remove the air. This will definitely solve the problem as long as the power steering pump is functioning optimally
Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from stop to stop. As you turn the steering wheel from extreme left to extreme right this will remove the air from the system. You may have to repeat this a few times to remove all the air.
Sure i can help! you have air in the power steering line or system.
The main thing that will happen after replacing the power steering high pressure house and you don't finish bleeding the air out of the line is poor performance. Air will replace the fluid and prevent the pump from generating the required pressure to operate.
there are tools available to pull a vacuum on the system to remove the air. any good repair shop should be able to do this for you.

I think air in the line will do nothing bu make a horrible noise. If it's hard to turn your car your probably low on power steering fluid, have your fron end greased up and make sure your level with fluid. If its still hard to turn I suggest having someone take a look at the front end
Remove cap from P/S reservoir and make sure it is full. Start the engine and while it is running turn the steering wheel fully left and then fully right. Do this at least 5 times. This will remove any air from the system. Drive the vehicle and repeat the process if you still have air in the system.
