When any conducting material is connected to provide a continuous path between the

two terminals of a battery, electric current flows through it. On the microscopic level,

electric current is really the flow of electrons, from the battery's negative terminal,

through the conducting path, to its positive terminal.

Electrons with higher energy are located where?

It depends on your definition of high energy. Electrons close to the nucleus have a high positive energy and will require a lot of energy to elevate them to higher orbitals. Electrons far away from the nucleus have the potential to give off a lot of energy falling to inner orbitals.

My Sanyo VPC SI070 Digital Camera keeps on turning off for no reason. I tried changing batteries and some of made it turn on but when i try to turn off the flash or take a picture it turns off.?

try using lithium batteries they work best in digital cameras

Do you put batteries in a flip video camera?

The latest Flip cameras can use battery packs or 2 AA batteries. Slide the lock for the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera to the unlocked position. The panel should then slide down and lift off allowing access to the battery compartment for replacing the batteries.

Why is it important that plants give off oxygen during photosynthesis?

How do you increase the intensity of the x - ray?

The intensity of the x-ray can be increased by the voltage going to the cathode which will increase the amount of electrons being given off through the vacuum and hitting the tungsten target which means more electrons hitting the target so more x-ray radiation being given off. You can also change how fine the beam is because if you have the beam of electrons focused on one area then the increase of the electrons hitting that one area will cause the increase in x-rays being given off instead of them being spread out over a large area.

NOTHING

What alkali metals give off the most electrons?

all alkali metals give off only one electrons. However cesium will give off electron easily. (Francium is not considered generally as it is radioactive with very short half life period).

Do car batteries give off dangerous fumes?

Yes, when charging hydrogen gas is released.

What elements easily give up electrons?

Metals, particularly the alkali metals- lithium, sodium, potassium, etc

What causes car battery out gassing?

When lead/ acid batteries are charged, they can give off hydrogen gas.

What do atoms of group 17 elments give off when they gain electrons?

No it does not.

How do circuits work step by step?

1) Electrons flow from a positive to a negative voltage source. 2) The path taken by the electrons through the circuit depends on the resistance of the various circuit elements. 3) Sensors attached to the circuit provide real world inputs and outputs. 4) All circuits are made using transistors. Transistors act like taps. Open the tap with a small amount of effort (a few electrons) allows a large volume of water (a large number of electrons) to flow. Analog circuits (e.g. Amplifiers) work by varying the amount of how open the tap is. Digital circuits (e.g. Computers) work by switching taps fully on or off.

The ability of metals to give-off and take-in electrons thus producing a current?

conductivity

Why do atoms give off light when they drop energy levels in an atom?

When electrons fall to a lower energy level, they give off energy in the form of light.

Does calcium want to keep all of its electrons?

Calcium is a metal. Metals give away their electrons off to non-metals. So i would say when calcium is combining with another atom it wants to give away its electrons so it can be an ion.

How do atoms give off electromagnetic waves?

Atoms give off (emit) electromagnetic waves by electrons dropping to lower orbit levels from higher levels of orbit.
