The minimum height most men have to be (especially if the woman is at least 5'9") is 6'1". Anything below that is usually "not good enough" or "not ideal." 6'1" and up is considered a "real" man to most American and UK women. Probably because most women fall in the 5'0"-5'10" range, so five-something is synomous with women. While few women at all are in the 6'0"-6'11" range, so that is what makes a "real" man to these women.

Alternatively, in Europe, the cutoff is 180 cm, which is actually far less than 6'1". This is because again, it is a solid base number.

Although your question is a good one, it is impossible to answer it with any merit of certainty. This is because people differ on what they are attracted to in another person and males are no exception to this rule. As a result some males may deliberately pursue a taller female because they are attracted to her height, while others may avoid her because they are intimidated by it. Regardless, the best thing that taller females can do is to embrace their height as an asset and not worry about how others will respond to them. Since taller females can't do anything about their height any way, the best way for them to attract another person is to maintain a positive attitude while interacting with many people as friends. Any male with true character will appreciate you for who you are and not allow the taller height to become an issue that gets in the way of beginning a healthy relationship. After all, what's the worst thing that can happen even if they are intimidated?

Unfortunately, the most recent statistics show that that men prefer shorter women or equal height on average. So while taller women might need a taller man their body pool to pick from is smaller than women of average height.

I'm a tall guy, and yes I do prefer tall women.
