Steel seal, bars leak, JB, all will work for minor cooling system leaks; however, if you have a leaking head gasket that is consuming coolant you will find that mechanical repair is necessary.

If the coolant is going out the exhaust, liquid glas, which several companies make should work. If the exhaust is getting into the radiator or the coolant is getting in the oil, it won't. Liquid Glas come in a bottle or can, clear liquid on top with copper flakes in the bottom.

While it could stop a head gasket leak, it can also restrict the passages in the engine, radiator, and heater core. It is not a true repair, more of a bandaid.

Why car exhausts rust so quickly?

If the vehicle has a stainless steel exhaust system it will last the life of the car. If it does not and you drive in roads treated with salt it will not last as long. Surface rust does not mean the exhaust in need of repair. Surface rust is normal on a steel exhaust system.

Can you weld steel to stainless steel?

Yep, you can weld steel to stainless and you can weld stainless to steel. You can use steel or stainless welding rod in either case but the steel or steel welding rod will of course rust.

What makes up rebar?

Rebar is a steel bar or mesh of steel wires used in reinforced concrete, and reinforced masonry structures which helps to strengthen the concrete under tension. Steel is melted down to liquid form on extreme amount of heat and then to give the rebar its shape, the liquid steel is pulled through small round openings. The developers choose to purchase higher-grade material for safety which prevent the concrete form from cracking. After the steel has its shape, the manufacturer will make the twists, and grooves on the metal to check if it will stay firmly in place inside the structure. The ends of reinforced metal bars are covered with plastic caps to prevent harm to construction workers as they are dangerous while installing. Now rebar is distributed from manufacturer to the job site and then the product is bent to the proper specs with the help of specialty hydraulic benders and cutters. There are only a few type of rebar that can be welded and that is the reason many construction companies use wire and coupling splices to join the ends together.

Do sound waves travel better through a solid liquid or a gas?

Sound travels fastest through solids because the molecules are closer together than in liquids or gases. Sound travels fastest through steel.

What type of gasket kit do you recommend using to repair intake manifold leak on 2000 dodge ram 1500 truck 5.9L engine?

The best way to repair that known and common defect is to replace the thin steel pan with a billet aluminum piece and a quality gasket or welded to the upper manifold. Replacing this gasket per the factory service manifold is a very temporary fix and WILL fail again. Check DodgeTrucks.org for additional info, photos, and how tos.

steel is all three. when it is heated it melts into a liquid. if it is heated even more it evaporates into a gas. if gas steel is cooled it condenses into liquid steel and if liquid steel is colled even more it hardens into a solid again
