What age do you have to be to become a graphic designer?

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design is 8 semesters of traditional study. The time it takes to complete depends alot on: 1. Your grades. (must consistantly have a C or higher in all courses) it takes more time on the calendar to have to take a class over again. 2. Whether or not you are a part time or full time student. 3 If you are in an accelerated program 4. If you have life experience that can transfer into college credit. A BS Degree in Graphic Design could take anywhere from 3 to 6 years to complete. If the program is taken at the associates level, it will take approximately two years provided the student takes the program as prescribed by the college. If the program is taken at the bachelors level, it will take approximately four years.

What is the difference between an architectural designer and an architectural drafter?

An architectural designer is involved in the design process (example: designing the floor plans), while a drafter has no design authority or responsibility. In florida, where I live, my earned title as "Architectural Design Drafter" (earned in Louisville, KY) is no good, because in Florida you have to have a special design degree. After moving to Florida, I can only legally call myself an architectural drafter because I did not earn my degree in this state. Hope that helps. Actually, pay no attention to the last answer. The respondent has no idea what he/she is talking about. 1) The use of the term "Architectural" to describe your services is illegal in Florida unless you are a licensed architect registered in the state of Florida. That requires: a) a professional degree from an accredited school. b) 3 years (minimum) internship with a registered architect c) passing all 7 ARE exams. 2) it doesn't matter what state your school was in. 3) It is probably illegal in KY, also

What Are Some Schools That offer a design degree?

In North Carolina, you can receive an art degree from most any college/university. However, for a Graphic Design degree, you can go to North Carolina State University, Meredith College, Appalachian State University, and East Carolina University. The top ranked program is at NC State and it is recommended that you apply for admission into the design program your senior year of high school so you can start your freshmen year of college. There are two rounds: online portfolio & interview/portfolio review. There is about a 13% chance of getting in. Sorry, I only know about schools in North Carolina. Collegeboard.com is a helpful site for college searches though.
