How many people get piercings done each year?

Well I average about 2000 piercings per year over 15 years that's about 30,000 piercings so I guess I could say alot. It's unknown how many professional body piercing studios there are out there now, so give them a rough average of 1200 piercings per store / per year it would add up to a lot of piercings.

Where can you get plug ear piercings done?

They aren't plug ear piercings. They're just bigger gauge piercings. You can get them at a piercing shop which are usually joined with tattoo shops. Just check in your area. The price will be a bit more than standard gauge piercings. Punches are usually more than piercings but I don't know what size you're getting so I can't say whether you're getting a punch or piercing. Some shops don't do punches but most do so just ask.

What are some jobs that don't mind piercings or body mods?

Well there are a few out there, ultimately it depends on what you want to do. You can almost assure that any some places that deal with the public may have an issue with piercings. Restaurants and some food service businesses can make piercings an issue, however most large chain* firms don't make an issue out of piercings ( *legal issue they don't want to deal with) , they leave that for area reps* to complain about ( *they are easy to replace and blame should a rights issue be launched ). It comes down to common sense, so long as your piercings are clean and tasteful and not too "out there" most employers are willing to allow them. Like tattoos there is still a little stereo typing that goes on and this needs to be brought to the attention of the general public.
