It honestly depends on what type of Photography you are interested in.
Freelance and Landscape Photography you are liable to travel new places often. If you are interested in those types of photography, hopefully you don't get jet-lag too often!
An advantage could be working with other people or getting costructive criticism from other advanced photographers. Another advantage would be able to see new places and faces or travel somewhere you have never been!
Photography tourism is a niche travel segment where individuals visit specific locations primarily to capture stunning photographs. This type of tourism often focuses on unique landscapes, cultural events, or iconic landmarks that provide visually appealing subjects for photographers. Travelers may participate in guided tours or workshops to enhance their skills and gain access to the best vantage points. Ultimately, photography tourism combines the love of travel with the art of photography, allowing tourists to document their experiences creatively.
There are many jobs that use cameras. A photographer, obviously, uses a camera. There a a lot of different types of photography you can do. Studio, wedding, free lance, sports photography, etc. Photographers who work for the news papers or magazines shoot pictures based on the articles they are assinged. Crime Scene photography is an option too. If you look around online there are a lot of options listed.
Environmental portraiture is my favorite genre of photography. I enjoy photographing people in their homes, places of employment, and outdoor environments because context enhances personality. These pictures use composition, lighting, and subtle facial expressions to tell stories. Each portrait is made vivid, relatable, and emotionally complex by revealing authenticity and the relationship between the subject and the surroundings.
A BA degree is just a Bachelors of Art, and a BFA degree is a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Usually Fine Arts degrees have a more rigorous fine art curriculum and require a portfolio for acceptance into the institution. So it really depends on what you want to do with your degree. If you just want a basic degree in photography, a BA (or even a BS) would do you just fine. However, if you want to go into the area of Fine Art photography, then I would recommend a BFA.
Travel photography is when you go to take pictures in a foreign place; a new town, country or state.
