It is generally agreed that personality is both genetic and influenced by environmental factors. The biological aspects of our personality can be largely attributed to the brain. We know this because there have been cases of personality changes in people after accidents or strokes resulting in damage to the brain. However, it's worth noting that not everything we associate with personality is in the brain. Someone's energy level, which we often attribute to their personality, is really more to do with their overall health. Someone who runs 10 miles every morning doesn't just have a stronger passion for running than someone who never runs, they probably have a stronger heart. Also, sex hormones, such as testosterone, can certainly effect levels of aggression and sexual desire, and they aren't just in the brain.
a neuro scan can be used for anything from mental health issues to diagnosing brain tumours. sometimes they are just taken to see everything up there (the brain lol) is going as it should!
Personality development
Psychological illness does not usually result in changes which can be seen on MRI. Current medical thinking is that many mental health problem are caused by imbalance of chemicals, which wouldn't change the "shape" of a brain.

yes
Your brain is only a part of your functional environment. Thinking is a function of yourself as an experient and a personality. The brain, however complex, is not the experient and is not the personality. It is you the experient and your personality who think using the brain as an instrument of thought. Therefore, your brain does not think.
